After trying out the other brand made in USA which didn't even last 300 miles I purchased these ARK splash guards. These are very heavy duty and installation is a workout. The majority of the holes align like they should. A couple holes were an entire hole off and several on both sides needed to be walked over with a burr grinder. All in all, the ARK guards material wise, are the better choice and I wish I had bought them first. Will know more in several hundred miles.
The guards are clearly a high quality material. But due to either tolerance stack or lack of good measurements by the company, many holes don't line up. I know they address this in their install instructions by simply asking you to make your own holes, but then I have left over holes which does not look great. My suggestion would be to cut these to shape, maybe punch one or two positioning holes and then just include a punch with the kit to make our own holes. The material is very thick which is good but that means its not forgiving at all for holes that are even 1/4" off, and i have some off by ~1". As well the hardware included isn't the best but I know that is even what OEMs use so can forgive them for that.
Hi BM - Thanks for taking the time for the review. Some slight variations are common, especially on older vehicles, but 1' is way off. Can you send me some pictures of the issue and I'll gladly take a look and see if this was a mfg issue on our end. Happy to make this right for you. Thanks - Jason
Everything worked as you would think. The clips aren’t the best but it didn’t line up correctly. I’m not sure why but had to poke new holes in it
I have not even opened the box yet. My pickup is in the shop for a cracked head repair. Looking forward to the install.
I wanna say that these fit better than any other splash guards. There also built proof compared to others on the net. Im hard on my taco, and it's in the mountains and desert hunting year round in Idaho. I've bought multiple sets of 100$ plus splash guards that don't make it a year. These will last. Fit up is almost perfect, every truck is slightly different from factory in my experience. Some dudes are whinning about holes not lining up. I had only two slightly off, grab a leather punch and a marker. If your mechanically inclined at all its a breeze. Don't question it buy now, no reason to look further.
